ARE US DEGREES THE SAME AS IN THE UK?
US degrees are Internationally recognised as are UK degrees. The main difference is that most US degrees take 4 years to complete as they include general education classes that aren't directly related to your chosen field of study.
WHAT MAKES ELITE U.S. ACADEMY DIFFERENT?
Through our personal experiences as international college athletes we have devised a unique, bespoke programme for a limited number of players that will prepare you completely to make the most of your US college soccer opportunity by providing an elite level of training, education and support.
AM I GOOD ENOUGH?
We evaluate all player's openly and honestly to see if you are at a high enough level for college soccer and where you would be best suited. The US college soccer system is very large, comprising of several different divisions and types of institution. Where you could play depends on your financial budget, athletic and academic abilities combined.
WHAT IS AN SAT?
The SAT is a multiple choice entrance exam for US universities and colleges.
CAN I STUDY A MASTER'S DEGREE?
Yes, many US universities and colleges offer Master's degrees which could be an option for player's that have already completed a degree or those interested in a Master's after their degree.
CAN I COME BACK TO THE UK DURING MY DEGREE?
Yes, there are 2 main breaks from term during the Summer and over Christmas where you will have the opportunity to return home or travel. There are also generally smaller breaks between semesters, around Spring and Thanksgiving in November.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A SCHOLARSHIP?
Most colleges and universities begin recruiting players at least 9 months before the following season, with some institutions beginning up to 2 years before. We recommend beginning the process at least 12 months before you plan to go to the US in order to obtain the best possible place and offer for you.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
US college or University can cost anywhere between $5,000 and $60,000 in tuition fee's before scholarship per year and it's possible to obtain a scholarship of up to 100% of these costs. You also need to factor in the cost of travel, accommodation & food.
WHAT DOES A SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
Scholarship's tend to cover your college or universities tuition fee's. In some cases, you may also receive housing, a meal plan or an allowance as part of your overall scholarship offer.
WHAT IS AN NLI? (NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT)
An NLI (National Letter of Intent) is a document signed by a player accepting a college or university offer and committing to that institution.
